CruiseinNJ Posted June 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2008 My 81 YO mother and her 84 YO friend have booked their first cruise and will be stopping in Halifax and St. Johns. I have info on St. Johns for them, as I'll be going there two weeks before my mom. I need info on Halifax. What are some 'must do' shore activities for two women in their 80s? They both can walk around, not for miles though! Any thoughts on what they must see for what will probably be their only visit to Halifax? I don't think they would be interested in going on a whale watching tour with being on a ship for a few days. Thanks in advance!
lroche_nf Posted June 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2008 I've been to Halifax several times and I mostly enjoy the waterfront. The Maritime History Museum and Pier 21 are down there. There are also lots of little shops in the Historic Properties.
