kiraryker Posted July 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2008 I've read that Triumph will be in dry dock later this year and we are sailing in March 09 - just wondering why they do and does it change anything? Thanks
s318830 Posted July 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2008 It means they are going to take her out of the water and work on her. I don't know specifically what kind of work - whether it's a refurbishing/update of some of her amenities or if it's just a scheduled maintenance. The way dry dock works is this... they pull the ship into a special dock and then pump all the water out. It's pretty cool.
jhale Posted July 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2008 It's a pretty neat sight, these are the Ecstasty back in 2006 I believe...
Gayle V Posted July 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2008 Fascinating photos jhale. Thanks for sharing them. It kind of looks like the ship is balancing on a very large balance beam.
Senoj84 Posted July 1, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2008 Thanks for posting the pics up. The people under the boat look like little peons.
