Kim and Maggie - thanks for all the updates - I'm so enjoying the breezes and ocean sounds!! I'm sending you lots of good luck thoughts for the casino (is that the sound of quarters I hear jingling and winner bells and sirens going off???). :)

Good Morning from the Mariner on our first Sea Day. We woke up to a Bravo Bravo Bravo code on deck one. The laundry must have had a small fire. Then about 45 minutes later they said they were having a lifeboat drill. This made me a little nervous but they said it was mandatory for the crew only. So this fine lady we are on is still doing well and we are taking good care of her for all of you.

We went to the concierge before getting ready for our late seating last night and met some great new friends for Atlanta. Then we had to rush to get ready for our formal dinner. Keith stopped by the casino for a little while and I headed back to vintages to select our wine for dinner. This is a great thing to do. They will let you have taste and give you suggestions for what is on the menu for the night. Then you can purchase the wine there and take it to dinner yourself. I selected a nice 2005 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon for somewhere around 50 bucks.

All your good luck wishes worked fairly well last night. Maggie was playing with me and I gave her around 30 dollars to play with and when she hit 100 she took the money and left. (smart girl) I played a little longer and did not have much luck again but Keith stayed till 1 am and came back with 400 dollars. So that was a good night.

Today I don’t know what I will do yet. Bingo is at 11 and our meet and mingle is at 11:30. So no bingo again this morning. I will do the blackjack tournament at 1 pm. The Royal Poker Tour, Texas Hold’em starts at 2. 100 dollar buy in for this one with a chance to go on to a free cruise and a 100,000 jackpot. There is an automatic Texas Hold’em table on board and this is where the tour will take place. I don’t know if I will try it.

Oh we are in 1314 on deck 10 and I am using the wifi from the room. works best on the balcony.
Do they sell the new bud light with lime on royal Caribbean cruises? Thank you for all of your help.
2 weeks ago they didn't have it since they don't sell glass bottles. Their bottles are the aluminum cans that look like bottles...
Good Morning, There is an alternative menu - the same every night with a steak and chicken dish, potato and such. I will check on that closer tonight
Hi Kim, you don't have to respond back to me, just wanted to say thank you for posting the alternative menu. It's much appreciated.

We are all very much enjoying your posts! It feels like I am right there with you.

Have a wonderful week! Happy sailing!!

Kim, thanks for the updates.....and glad you are having a blast. If you can take a picture of the bottled wine list, with prices, particularly the rieslings, I'd really appreciate it. also, if you get a chance to find out the names (and countries of origin, if available) of the figure skaters, that would be great. I'm enjoying your cruise - thanks.

Sounds like you are having a great time, can't wait as we go in Sept!

How was the wine tasting.

Also, was there a very strong garlic smell last night with the snails (OH is allergic to garlic, so on the strongest nights we plan to do the specialty restaurants).

Thanks Kim -- do you know how much longer Allen will be the Concierge? Also, saw on another thread that Drew Devine is leaving for vacation in two weeks. Have you heard anything about who will replace him. THANKS.
We're on the ship on the 20th so we have the same itinerary--here's my two questions--We are in room 6344 where is our muster station? and what is the best night to book Chops or portofino? Ok, three questions--any chance you could get pics of the compasses for 5 to 7 yos? I'd appreciate any st thomas excursion info too! But if you can't get to any of this it's fine--just pat our room door and tell her we're thinking of her!

Thanks, Katie--have soooooooo much fun!
We're on her the same time as the 20th in cabin 6256. See you there.

Yes, I said this. I don't recall though who he said would be his replacement. He said he will be back in September though, but then off again in December, when Ken Rush will come and take her around the horn.
