Status of Sunken Sea Diamond

I was wondering if the Sea Diamond is going to be salvaged / removed from the water off of Santorini. Any update would be appreciated.

When I was in Santorini a few months ago is was still marked by a floating "marker" ring around it to show it's location. I doubt it will ever be salvaged or removed.

Saw the area two weeks ago. We asked about it, and was told that no one died in the sinking, yet I have read of a Frenchman and his teenage daughter drowning. :confused:

I think there are two bodies still in the ship.

There certainly are--a French father and daughter. Mother and son survived because they were up top when it happened. The cruise line did their best to downplay the whole thing. It wasn't too comforting, especially since we were already scheduled to sail on the Sea Diamond a few weeks later; they had to hurriedly find a replacement rental-ship for us!
