Balcony Doors

Can anyone tell me if the balcony doors (on CCL ships, specifically on the Legend if anyone has that experience) have the capability of being disabled? I am wondering if there is any sort of safety mechanism or key that would allow me to prevent the door from being opened from the inside.

Hopefully this question makes sense!:)

Most balcony doors I've seen have a bolt-type lock high up at the top of the door that kids can't reach. Also, the doors are typically very hard to open even when not locked; however, some children can probably manage them.

CCL's ships do have locks up high (near adult's head level), so it would be virtually impossible for a smaller child to open it. We have cruised with CCL balconies with very small children and, with reasonable precautions, have felt very safe with our children in a balcony cabin.
