flagger Posted July 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2008 How long does it take to get from BOS-Logan to the pier (for Jewel of the Seas)? We are flying up day of departure and are looking for information. TIA

138east Posted July 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2008 You may be able to see the ship from Logan. It's a quick ride through the Ted Williams tunnel to South Boston. I'm not sure of the cab fare, but it should be in the $20 range. If you want to consider public transportation, you can take the Silver Line for $2/pp. Go to the World Trade Center stop and cross over to reverse your direction (there are escalators and an elevator) and take the SL2/3 to Black Falcon. The Silver Line is a bus. The airport ones are very much like a rental car bus, but lots bigger with room for luggage and plenty of seats. The other configuration doesn't have luggage racks, but it would be almost empty except during the morning rush hour. Boston is trying to promote public transit to the airport, so these services run at least every 10-15 minutes during the day and more often at rush hour. signman Posted July 7, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Sit on the left side of the plane (seat A) and you should see your ship as you approach Logan. Then just hop a cab to Black Falcon.
alphakitty Posted July 7, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 7, 2008 The water taxi is also a nice option, especially if it's a good weather day. You'll get a beautiful view of Boston Harbor as you head over to the pier. :) http://www.massport.com/logan/getti_typeo_water.html

Get off the plane, get your luggage, get a cab and get to the ship.
jean s Posted July 9, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 9, 2008 With the ever changing traffic issues in Boston (I live in the area) I would only suggest that you take a cab.
