Spa comparison between ships

We are planning our next HAL cruise and are wondering about the spas on the smaller ships. We cruised the Zuiderdam last spring and spent a great deal of time in the spa, loved the hydrotherapy pool and the thermal suite.

Do the spas on the Veendam or Zaandam have similar facilities? Specifically the hydrotherapy pool and the heated loungers.

At this time only the 3 Vista ships have the hydrotherapy pool. It is my belief that the Ryndam will have one with its GreenHouse Spa when the SOE upgrades are finished in a week or so.

I think that these upgrades will be done on the Veendam in April 2006 and the Zaandam in January 2005.

The thermal suite is part of the spa area where you have several steam/suana rooms off the main room. The main room contains several tile lounge chairs that are heated. You can lay on the lounge, listening to water running in the fountain, while gazing out of the full length windows at the sea. It's paradise! There are also aromatherapy showers in there too. On the Zuiderdam, you paid $15 per day per person for both the thermal suite and the hydrotherapy pool. They also offer a package deal for the whole week.
