bilty Posted July 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2008 Can anyone tell me please is it best to book spa treatments before travelling, or wait till we board. We shall be doing the transatlantic crossing in Novemeber. Anyone recommend a treatment to have?
flag fan Posted July 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2008 I booked ahead of time and it worked out fine. I had the shiatsu massage and recommend it, but any massage would probably be great.
jonmar Posted November 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2008 How do you book prior to embarkation? I would like to book a massage for my wife as a surprise. Thanks.
phplady Posted November 26, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2008 If you are on the QM2 you have to book either by fax or phone, I think 21 days prior to your cruise. If you are sailing on QV It looks like you can book online from the cunard website. http://www.cunard.com/AlreadyBooked/
marle7 Posted November 26, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2008 I have booked online at the canyon ranch spa website for my upcoming QM2 cruise on Saturday. I'll let you know whether it worked or not!
bilty Posted November 26, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted November 26, 2008 I booked a spa treatment via email and had confirmation sent back to me, but once on board I did confirm it, only to find they had no booking for me, and had to re-book it and it wasnt on the day I had planned. So would suggest confirming your booking when you board the ship.
phplady Posted November 26, 2008 #7 Share Posted November 26, 2008 I same thing happen to me last year on QM2. I booked by email and received a confimation by email and once onboard there was no booking for me.
marle7 Posted November 26, 2008 #8 Share Posted November 26, 2008 Well that would be interesting. I suppose if they don't have my multiple hair and massage appointments booked, I can find another place to spend my money onboard.:D
Arubalisa Posted November 27, 2008 #9 Share Posted November 27, 2008 Thanks so much for this info. I booked two appointments last week for our December sailing and was very impressed by the prompt response but it will be useless if I board and there is no record. Will definitely reconfirm once on board. patwell Posted November 27, 2008 #10 Share Posted November 27, 2008 I've not had any problem with booking ahead for the spa on any trip. I've received confirmation by email and had confirmations waiting in my cabin mailholder the day I arrived. I usually book well in advance...at least a month or so and it's never a problem. I just call Canyon Ranch on the number given on the webpage. I've only reconfirmed once and that was on our first trip just to be sure. I've also brought my emailed confirmation with me just in case but never needed it. We've been pleased wth ou treatments albeit I do think they ae a tad pricey for what you get. But the spa accutrements ae lovely....do use them when you have a booking as they ae free that day. The thallasotherapy pool is delightful to use before a massage...and after if you don't feell too much like a limp noodle!
