Flying into John Wayne Airport??

Hi All...we will be sailing on the Carnival Pride in Oct. 2008. Airfare out of Chicago to L.A.  ...as they say, truely priceless!!! Just blew the budget to upgrade the room, so an inside cabin it is :D.

We may fly into John Wayne Airport, and stay at a hotel near that airport. Any thoughts? Will be flying in the day before. Anything we need to be concerned about finding shuttles (or better yet, free shuttles) to/from the airport and the pier in Long Beach? Will also post this in the "Pride Only" thread.

Thanks in advance!

John Wayne Airport is a good distance away from Long Beach or San Pedro Harbors.

If you can book your flight into Long Beach, you will be far closer then any other air port. One way rental cars out side the airport are your best bet, shuttles place a limit on your travel.

Enterprise will pick you up from most locations outside of the airports. otherwise book a room with a rental service, they will sometimes drop you off within a 10 mile radius.

Happy Sailing

Danny
