We leave on 7-26 on the Elation. We have 5 nights, two full days at sea. This is my daughters 3rd cruise. The last was on Disney. How is the kids program for a 10 year old? I looked at the posted kids schedule from a link on this site. It didnt cover her age group. I am hoping she will not be bored.

Another question.... Disney gave us pagers. They even worked off the ship. How does Carnival handle if your child wants out of the kids club?

thank you....

Here's a link to the 9-11 yo Capers Wennfred downloaded a while ago. They're from the Valor but should at least give you an idea of what they offer - some activities differ some from ship to ship, but at least a good starting point. Be aware that in the 9-11 group Camp Carnival allows the kids to sign themselves out - if you do not want your daughter to do so, then arrange that with her. When my son was 11 on the Pride, he absolutely loved the activities in this age group and had a great time. I would always arrange to meet him just outside the camp room (or wherever they were) when Camp Carnival closed.

If you look at the activities under the first formal night, it lists an after hours party from 10-3 - my son did that on the Pride. We paid an extra $20 I believe for it, but it was completely organized, with movies, a capture the flag game in the show lounge after the last show, and a late night pizza party up on deck. A counselor escorted him back to the cabin when it was over. He still talks about how much fun that was.

Thank you .. the info does give me some ideas. While my daughter is very mature I am not sure if I want her signing herself in and out. Seems a young age to do that but...

And the party sounds good too. I will see if she is interested when we board. Looks like they have lots of fun stuff to do. And if this ship does a talent show she will be estatic.
