Mariott from cruise terminal

Has anyone booked a room for a day as a passenger from a cruise ship? We have an extended stay in San Juan later this month from 10-11pm and are looking for beach time. How far is the Mariott from the cruise terminal? Is it nice? Which is nicer..beach and pool wise..the Hilton or the Mariott? Help.......I need to find something the whole family would enjoy...............just found out about itinerary change.

I don't think the Hilton does a day pass, so the Marriott would be the only choice of the two. How many in your party? The day pass is around $40 per person, so you may be better off bidding for a room on Priceline. We have gotten ours for around $110 a night in May for the past 3 years. That way you also have a room to shower up in. (The room might not be ready when you arrive, but you'd still have all the day pass privileges, we've gotten rooms as early as 11:00am the last 2 years.)
