Arranging for a photographer?

I remember reading how to go about arranging for a photographer for a large group during the evening or on a sea day. Can someone go over that for me? We're planning a large group and would love a group photo. Thanks.

Only group photographer I have seen on CC groups is usually at around 10:00AM on a sea day at a certain place for one group photo. It's arranged as part of the group package.

On past cruises where we had groups of 15+ we have made arrangements with the ship's photographers after we get onboard. Sometimes they can accomodate us during formal nights, usually they prefer around 5pm on the nights they are set up around the ship for casual photos.

We have a group of 17 traveling on the Conquest in a couple weeks. We wanted to do a casual group portrait as a gift for my parents (50th anniversary). I just don't like all the fake backgrounds. Has anyone ever hired a photographer in any of the ports?

How refreshing ! ! Somebody actually trying to locate a photographer on a cruise ship . . . uncanny ! ! :D

We did the picture on the formal night and because we were 16, they took the picture on the staircase. It came out great. I arranged in the photo shop the first day of the cruise.
