Vision of the Seas - ? handicapped cabin size

on the map the category "d" balcony cabin looks like it is almost double the size of a regular cabin.

 

has anyone been in this cabin and is it really bigger.

 

RCCL is telling me it is the same size as a regular cabin, just configured differantly.

We were in a handicap cabin on the Rapsody. It is double wide -- bigger than some hotel rooms. It also had a double balcony. Bathroom you could dance in.

We had an inner accessible stateroom on the Grandeur and it was twice the size of a regular stateroom. If you look at the ship diagrams you can often perceive that the cabins are bigger.

They look bigger but when I asked, I was told they are exactly the same size.

Maybe they don't want to 'sell' them as bigger and have people who don't really need an accessible stateroom vying for them. We needed to have a DRs note for ours, so I don't know why they would be concerned about the above.
