lauril Posted July 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2008 Carnival offers laundry service on the 7 days cruise (what ever you can fit in a bag). Does anyone know if princess offers a similar on the Golden Princess cursing to Alaska?
GORDONCHICK Posted July 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2008 The Princess board would be a good place to ask this, but I think most of the mass-marketed lines do this.
ggprincess2004 Posted July 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2008 Yes, they do offer the laundry special on most cruises. but they also have passenger laundries on each stateroom deck, so that you can run a load or two through if you need to . The machines require quarters - between $1.00 and $1.50 per load to wash or dry, depending upon the ship. We usually take a roll of quarters with us although there are change machines, detergent and fabric softener dispensers in the laundry rooms. Sometimes they can be empty so we come prepared with detergent, fabric softener, stain stick and quarters..... there are also ironing boards and irons in the laundry rooms available for use free of charge. Hope that helps you with your wardrobe planning for your cruise.:)
paul929207 Posted July 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2008 I have never noticed anything on Princess with a special for cleaning a bag of laundry. I may not have noticed it, since my DW handles that stuff. As to the passenger laundry, all of our cruises it has been $1/load to was and to dry. There are change machine, but they do not always work. Check a day or two before you plan to use them and get change at the Purser's desk if necessary.
