Does the photo shop sell scrapbooks?

I noticed scrapbooks for sell on the Paradise over the July 4th weekend.

The one thing I noticed that I thought was odd was that one of the scrapbooks was for the Carnival Spirit/Alaska. I didn't look at everything, so I assume that if there were Spirit/Alaska scrapbooks being sold on the Paradise going to Ensenada, there were probably other scrapbooks specific to different Carnival ships.

If the Spirit is selling Spirit/Hawaii scrapbooks when we sail on her to Hawaii this coming September, they probably have a built-in customer with me...

Thanks for the info. I'm taking a friend on the Carnival Spirit next year to Alaska (her first cruise and she is so excited). She does scrapbooking and I know she'll be interested in this.

Sandy, weren't we on the Glory together? Seems like I remember you from the roll call even though we never met.

On the Fantasy there were several scrapbooks with the cut-out in front cover for a pic, but I didn't see anything that had the ship name except a small photo album. There were several kits, from papers and elements up to a full kit with album. Look around the entire photo area, I found 3 areas that had different items.

WE just got back from the Legend. I noticed lots of scrapbooking supplies and several scrapbooking "events/classes" during the week. They also had a table with lots of examples of scrapbooking that were left out all the time. I noticed there was a lot of interest in these.

Speaking of pictures, you can get a big 8x10 glossy of the ship you are on just by asking for $5. They don't always put them out. Just ask.

I took a picture of this sample scrapbook on the Ecstasy. The kit included names of all Carnival ships and you cut out the one you want and insert it in the cover as per the picture. Of course, I'm not sure all ships carry this particular scrapbook but it was on the Ecstasy.

I was on the Celebration last year and bought a clear scrapbook kit. It has pockets on the front with sea shells and other cruise icons. It also has a pocket on the front with water and fish in it. They didn't really have anything else. I am guessing since she was almost done her time with Carnival they really didn't stock up on that kind of stuff. So I bought it since that was all they had. Well, I am just now starting putting my album together from that trip and the book is horrible!! It's so flimsy!! I wish I would have saved my money and never bought it.

I am so glad that they have scrapbooking supplies. I just started putting things together for all of my trips. It is so much fun. Every craft store that I go into I check the scrap book section for paper or any stickers that I may want. To put one together of our cruise would be great.

I just got off of the Conquest and they did not have any scrapbooks that specifically say Conquest. However, they have solid color books with square cutouts tht you can put a photo of the boat into. The price was only $9.95, really good price! They also have a couple of books with designs on them. They sell some packets that have paper, stickers and die cuts in them.

I was disappointed in the scrapbbook sessions that met in the afternoons. They really were not set up to do any cropping. A couple of the crew brought some supplies and an idea book that someone had made.

Enjoy your cruise and have fun cropping when you get home. I came home and printed out 200 of the 650 pics that I took. Time to get busy...

Just got off the Glory, and they had 2 scrapbook meetings, one on each of the sea days. No one really did any scrapbooking, but they gave you beautiful pictures of all the different areas to use when you scrap your trip. I did not go the 1st day, but one of my friends did, and she got the complete set. We went on the 2nd and they only had about 1/2 of them left. They are really perfect pictures of every bar, dining room, lobby, lido deck ect.

I just got off the Victory and they had scrapbook supplies and a scrpabook meet. They offered 3 different albums, ranging in price from 16.95-19.95. They offered three different kits for $6.95. One kits was tropical/beachy, another was casino themed, and the final one was cruise themed. All three of these had some kind of Carnival stickers in them as well. THey offered a 4th kit that seemed pretty generic but had a lot more stickers in it (mostly tropical) that was $9.95. I went to the scrapbook meet and essentially they were selling the supplies during the first meet and assembling the album during the second meet. I did buy the $16.95 album which was 12x12 and came with the cruise kit. I thought that was a decent price for album and kit.

Are the meets schedules in the capers?? I don't remember seeing anything about meets last year on the Celebration. Either I just missed it or they didn't have one cause I would have been there if I could.

I would also like to know if the scraps are in the schedule. I'm leaving Saturday on the Liberty and would love to hit the scrap meet just for the pictures if nothing else. I had no idea that they had so much scrap stuff right on the ship ~ my sail and sign budget just went out the window:D

They were listed in the Capers for both sea days. No one actually did any scrapbooking at the meeting, but it was a great place to get the pictures. If you purchased a scrapbook, you also got a free picture 5x7 picture of the ship. I would suggest going the first day, because the people who attended the first day got a complete set of pictures. Once the word got out for the 2nd day, they tried to only give 4 pictures per person. Hope this helps!

I bought the same album you did and I agree... I hate it.. In the package it looked so cool but it really is flimsy and I regret spending the money on it now.

I will be on the Ecstasy in Feb. and I look forward to getting the album with the ship name and also attending any classes they hold... :D
