boozecruise78 Posted July 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2008 Looking to book with one of the smaller snorkel tour outfits for our Nov. 22 Carnival Destiny Cruise out of Miami...Saw a couple of catamaran's that looked great one was the Bucaneer...any thoughts reviews of past stingray city trips? Thanks... also has anyone sailed the C. Destiny before I've heard many mixed reviews out of San Juan...recently sailed on RCL Radiance of the Seas in Alaska...and loved it...albeit totally different experience I'm sure... azkcruizers Posted July 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2008 Check out www.nativewaytours.com . We did their rays reef and rum point excursion and had a great time. Less people than the cruise ship tours. Rum point was beautiful. Lunch was included and good. Great price also!:)
tinabinab Posted July 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2008 We did a sailing trip a few years back with Red Baron Charters - it was on a 44ft sloop. It was very relaxing and sans crowds! We sailed out near the reef and snorkeled with the sting rays in about 15 - 17 ft of water. Then we sailed over to the reef and snorkeled about there for a while. We enjoyed it so much the first time, that we're going out with them again next month. I can't wait!
suziqz007 Posted July 23, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2008 We used Moby Dick in August '07 and it was FANTASTIC! Very organized and friendly. Small number in our grou Here is part 1 of our cruise video. Lots of pix from our Moby Dick excursion can be found if you start watching about halfway through...music is "Under the Sea". Part 4 has some in the beginning, as well, where you can hear/see a portion of the information talk and you can also see how much room we had on the boat...not crowded at all! (hint: on the video, sometimes you have to let utube finished the download before watching or it will stutter.
