DVDs in room/Mac question

We're cruising on the Serenade in a GS, and are just wondering if the cabin either comes equipped with a dvd player, or if the TV has the necessary hardware to accommodate our hooking up our own portable dvd player to it? We're cruising with our 5 year old and would like to take a couple of movies along for before bedtime.

 

Also, I've heard conflicting information regarding using a Mac onboard - can anyone confirm if we will have any issues connecting with our Mac in our cabin?

Yes, the Grand Suite will have a DVD player in it.

 

Don't know anything about Macs except to know some people have had issues with them. Now this is not a Mac vs PC issue but be aware that the wireless is not throughout the ship. If your cabin is near a hotspot, you may be able to connect in your cabin, but it isn't a given.
