Do you know

You would only know if you asked, and I think the answer would probably be no. A steamer is going to have a heating element in it and it is these that are bad news on cruise ships because of possible fire hazard.

I have heard of some people hanging clothes up in the shower and wasting the earths resources by leaving the shower running at full heat for half an hour to generate steam. But you wouldn't do that would you.

David - it must be a drop in the ocean compared to the way we waste the world's resources by cruising in the first place...............

On the other hand bunker fuel is pretty much a by product to diesel and gasoline, expensive though it has become, and we do financially benefit many 3rd world citizens by employing them at much higher rates than they could earn at home.

I still feel guilty though, and am wondering how long I can carry on cruising before I succumb to self-imposed ecological pressures.
