Trip to St. Barts

Has anyone ever gone over to St. Barts while in St. Maarten? If so, how did you get there, was there enough time to enjoy it in your opinion, and was it worth it? Thanks for any info!

I visited St. Bart's in 1988, and would love to do this day trip from St. Martin in the coming year.

 

Royal Caribbean offers this as one of their shore excursions - if you want to go that route:

"(SMAD) St. Barth's Life Styles of the Rich and Famous

Also, sounds like you must have a passport to go ashore at St. Bart's now.

We haven't been there (yet!), but hope to do so some day. Seasoned travelers Ed & Sandra have posted a trip report that you may be interested in (day trip). Sounds like fun!
