Calling all Oceana cabin experts

We're looking hard at cruise E913 on Oceana - 7 nights: Cornwall, Ireland, Spain, & France. It's the right time of year for us, and the prices are good - quite a bit lower than other 7-night cruises on Oceana both afterwards and (oddly) beforehand.

The itinerary takes in the English Channel, the Irish Sea and the Bay, so even though it is late May/early June, we've decided that a balcony cabin probably isn't worth it. Also it's pretty port-intensive so we may well be ashore most of the time during the daytime anyway. So we've been poring over the deck plans looking at Outside cabins. We've pretty much decided that the choice is between an LA cabin, described as a 'Larger Outside Stateroom' or an LB, just a normal outside but with, according to a (very) small note below the plan of D Deck, '... extra large picture windows'.

So the question is: how much larger is the LA than the LB? I'll be honest, on the plan they look to be the same depth (door to window). Or is the LA just wider (side to side)? And secondly, looking at LB cabins such as D326 (partly over the theatre) or D728 (partly over Footlights), is there much/any noise penetrating from the space below?

Any help/advice anyone can give us would be gratefully received.

Tom

The difference I think is that the LB cabins have a large picture window and are the same size as the LA ones.

The cabin you asked about D326 that is a disabled cabin and obstructed by a lifeboat.

We have stayed in the LB cabins the number we have had are D234 D236 D228 and the window is so large that you can sit in it.

We have never had noise either in any of them.
