Costa Maya - parasailing

Anyone done this or know the price? The ship doesn't offer it, but, a poster had said that there was a private vendor at the pier that offered parasailing.

You might have better luck posting your question in the Ports of Call area for Costa Maya.

Tried to parasail in Costa Maya on our Rhapsody of the Seas cruise 9/19 - 9/26 but discovered they only have one boat to offer parasailing and it doesn't always work. Sorry, didn't get the price as I was disappointed to find out I couldn't go when we were there. Check the Port of Call boards.

I would be very cautious parasailing at this port. It is a small and relatively poor area. If the ship does not offer parasailing as an official excursion, I would be nervous about a single boat that doesn't always work. Remember, Mexico does not have stringent laws on safety operations. There was a disturbing report on 60 Minutes or 20/20 awhile back about this very issue.
