Question about onboard expense account in Funpass

Myself and 2 other girls are going on a cruise in 3 weeks. I have filled out everything in the Funpass EXCEPT the onboard expense account. (All the citzenship info, address, and cruise ticket acceptance). My friend doesn't want to put her credit card # on the internet because of security. Will this hold us up at the port at embarkment?

Yes, it will hold you up. Sooner or later, her credit card information will go into Carnival's system. Either via the Funpass or at the pier at which time she will have to do it anyway. None of you will be passed through until her information is complete in their computer system.

 

Thousands and thousands of people fill out the Funpass on Carnival's SECURE website. Her fears are misdirected.

She will be only filling in the last 4 digits of her credit card and her name. So it won't affect her card in any way.

My friend and I just filled out all the FunPass info last week and felt nothing, but complete security!! You will be just fine. Remember to look for the signs you are on a secure website: A tiny lock in the lower right side of the screen and an address that starts with "https"
