Discount on Balcony and Suites

I have a long way to go before I become platinum. But, I do have a question about what it means. How much discount do you get? Do you get a balcony for the price of an ocean view or just so many dollars off? Curious because the next RCL cruise we book, we will be platinum.

You get money off the room. The exact amount varies based on the length of cruise. I can't remember the exact amount but it's something like $50 off the stateroom for a short cruise, $100 for a 6-9 night cruise, and $150 for a 10 night or longer cruise. Please note the discounts are per stateroom, not per person.

Balcony discounts for Platinum Members as of December 15, 2007 are

 

$ 50 for 3-5 nights

$100 for 6-9 nights

$200 for 10+ nights

Remember the discounts ONLY apply to balcony rooms and suites.....no discount on ocean view rooms

Also, remember, you have to have COMPLETED 5 cruises or 5 cruise credits to have Platinum status. If the next cruise you book is your 5th cruise, you will NOT be Platinum until it is over. Have fun and enjoy that discount!
