Destiny... Anyone been on Destiny recently?

How's the food? Room service menu any good? Music ? Please share anything!!!!!!! :)

We sailed the Destiny this past March. We had a wonderful, but exhausting time! I can't speak to the room service menu, as with the exception of coffee and danish in the morning, we never used it. The dining room food was very good. Although our service sometimes suffered as our head waiter was training a new assistant. But even though service was sometimes slow, they were both very personable, and apologetic when the need arose.

 

With every day being a port day, we didn't do too much on the ship. By the time we got back on board, relaxed for a bit on the balcony, showered, went to the late dinner seating, played a couple of hands of black jack, we were usually ready to hit the sheets - to enable us to start the whole process over again the next day! We did spend time in the casino, went to the Latin club for a bit one night, and the disco once as well. Unfortunately for me, fortunately for my boyfriend, they had a "So You Think You Can Dance" competition going on in the disco the night we were there. While it was entertaining, I wanted to dance! Oh well. Black jack and bed worked just as well!

My husband and I are going on the Destiny in October. The ship is going into drydock sometime in September when it will get many improvements. It is moving from San Juan to Miami as it's home port. I know that it is getting the Seaside Theater. We are really looking forward to it.
