happycruiser201 Posted August 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2008 Hi All, I am sure this has been asked, but I guess my searching skills are not what they need to be. My question is......my nephew will be 10 months old when we cruise next month on Carnival. My sister uses bottled water to make bottles. I have read about the restrictions on bringing non-alcoholic drinks but in this case has anyone had any experience with this. I have in the past taken a soft side wheely cooler and just checked it and have been ok doing this. This was in Dec 07 on the Triumph and this time I had decided I would not haul water just to save space but then my sister decided to go and thought I would see if any one has had recent experience with bringing water. Thanks Lana
crusinmama06 Posted August 6, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2008 Your sister will be driving to the port? I have carried gallons of "nursery water" with me on cruises. No one is going to stop you for nursery water. ;) You can get it by the gallons at Wal-Mart and other grocery stores like that. Now if she is flying, THAT would be another story. Thanks Lana Our travel docs for our upcoming cruise (8/25) state that you are allowed to carry on a reasonable amount on non-alcoholic beverages. You will be fine with the water. ENJOY YOUR TRIP! gkrnjlr Posted August 7, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 7, 2008 We're traveling with our 9 month old next month.....are you saying that you packed the wheeled cooler (soft side) with the water and just checked it with your other luggage and it showed up at your room? This is a thought for us! I am up in the air or not whether or not to use ship water but if we pack water this is really easy!
happycruiser201 Posted August 9, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted August 9, 2008 I just looked at this thread again and saw that my last post did not take. Yes, I have a soft side cooler on wheels from Bealls, put water in it, put luggage tag on it and it showed up in our room.
gkrnjlr Posted August 9, 2008 #9 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Perfect! I hadn't even thought about doing this but thank you for mentioning it. I'm definitely going to do this. Thanks!
