Crossing the Equator

:) Hi: we are on the Mariner of the Seas Jan '09 for a repositioning cruise from FLL to CAL down to South America and around Cape Horn. Is there any

special "doings" when you cross the Equator - this will be our first with RCCL and the first going that distance. :cool: :)

Crossing the equtor is a big deal...I can only speak of my experience with the Military (shellback) but I would imagine if the military is going to take time to celebrate it then other ships in one way or another would celebrate this Tradition also.

P.S. I don't think it will be as "extensive" as the military's initiati... :eek: er...I mean celebration but it should be fun!!!!:D
