CROWN Laundry Fees

We're sailing on the Crown soon and just wondering if the laundry machines require quarters or not. Last year we were on the Royal and machines operated with the $.25 casino tokens. Don't expect change machines to work;) nor want to run to purser to get quarters.

Thanks!!

AFAIK, slot machines don't take coins anymore, so I would assume you need quarters.

They take quarters. $1.00 per load (washing or drying) There are vending machines that take quarters too, but I am bringing my own supplies.

You might be right -- know they were planning on switching -- Royal slots only took bills but paid in tokens -- perhaps they are voucher machines now.

That's what we've seen lately; voucher machines. We were in Vegas last month and everywhere we went it was all paper. Last year on the Golden they were doing vouchers too.

Another tip ......

I usually save all the free samples of soap and fabric softner that come in the mail and put them in a ziplock bag with a roll of quarters. Makes doing laundry that much easier if you have your own goodies and the soap machine happens to be out of service.:D

On the Emerald earlier this summer, the laundry machines took US quarters (NOT Canadian ones!) and the casino tokens. I know, not because I ever got lucky at the casino, but because the change machine gave me a token as well as quarters, so I just turned around and put it into the washer, and it worked!
