Where does ship dock?

I am sailing on the RCCL Seranade in March of '09. Where will it be docking? Just wondering what part of town would be best for pre-cruise hotel. Hoping for Old San Juan. Does anybody have an address so that I could Google Earth the location?

It will either dock in Old San Juan at Pier 1 or Pier 4, or it will be at the Pan American pier on the south side of San Juan Bay. This map will show you all of those piers.

In any case, you'll either be right in OSJ or a short taxi ride away.

Hope this helps!

As ray states either OSJ or Pan Am.

If OSJ there is the Sheraton right by the cruise ship piers.

If pan Am then hotels in the Isla Verde / Condado area would be closer.

But you could stay in any of the three areas and just be a short taxi ride away.

taxi rates in san juan are fixed based on zones, so you can figure out in advance how much it should cost.

Plenty to see and do in Old San Juan before you head off on your cruise.

Have a great time

If you are talking about embarkation, then the RCCL uses the Pan Am pier, across the bay from OSJ.

For day stops, it uses the piers right in OSJ.

But if you have documents, check what they say....someone on a Princess cruise said their documents show they are going to be using the Pan Am pier in Dec 2008 instead of their usual embarkation pier that they have used for the past 2 years. Maybe things are being switched around????

But really, either pier is just a short taxi ride away from each other and the area hotels.
