Money should we allocate for ourselves. Going on Carnival Fascination. Just me and wife. 5 days to Freeport and nassau Bahamas. I like to drink ( at least 3-4 per day, domestic beer, but may partake in BAHAMA MAMAS) and wife likes fruity drinks like daquiries. 1 or 2 would suffice and likes diet cokes. Probably would get her a soda card. I drink free iced tea. Probably would go on a shore excursion at each place. Probably budget $100-200 for the casino. Not sure about pics, gift, shopping.Any insights. Thanks, Dan.

I would budget around $100pp per day. You can bring it home if you have extra; but remember bring half the clothes you think you need and twice the money! Have a great time!

This is the best advice that you can get unless you alot $200 pp.:D

Drinks on the ship run $3.50 up to $10 for mixed drinks and $4+ for domestic beer. Then you pay a 15% tip on top of that. If you want to partake without needing a cosigner, your best bet is to wait and buy your drinks in port or take a trip to an AI resort or an AI tour.

Cost of a bucket of beer (5) about = $20

Bahama Mama's about $8 each (2) = $16

Glass of wine with dinner $8 ea (2) = $16

Total for the day (for you) = $62

and wife likes fruity drinks like daquiries. 1 or 2 would suffice and likes diet cokes. Probably would get her a soda card.

Cost of 3 daquiries (sp?) @ $8 = $24

Total cost of alcohol per day = $86 x 7 days = $602 for the trip

We find for the cruise, we (I) drink pretty well and do minimal excursions, wife does a spa treatment and our S&S bill is about $1,000-$1,500 for the week.

Cashwise, I do casino, eat/drink onshore, various tips / cabs, and I take about $1,000 cash. Depending on the craps table, I typically bring about 1/2 of that home (like I said depending on the tables).

Hello,

Dan (the main man),

On our transatlantic cruise in April of 2008, the big margaritas cost $6.75 each and a beer cost $3.50 to $4.50 plus the automatic 15% gratutity.

Your DW will want to buy at least two pictures, but these are reasonably priced.

Where you are going to save some money...you can see the Bahamas on your own. The ferry to Paradise Island is great fun, as it is a locally operated family type of ferry service that features a speaker who tells you all about the Island. And this is very reasonably priced. On Paradise Island there is public access to the beach and there is no charge to walk through the Atlantis Hotel and Casino.

Hope that this helps,

Have a wonderful time.

Fred
