cccruzer3 Posted August 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Have a hypothetical question. If we booked air with Celebrity for a TA next November, and we elect to fly in the day of the cruise (in other words, we wouldn't be requesting custom air), since most flights from Philly to Rome are evening flights, it is somewhat logical to assume Celebrity would put us on an evening flight Wednesday evening (cruise leaves Thursday afternoon) and it would be non-stop to ensure we make the ship on time? Just wondering if anyone has had experience in this regard.
CLEMM Posted August 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Not necessarily. Celbrity may have you on a flight with stops because that is cheaper for them. You could get lucky, but if you want to guarantee non stop then go with custom air. Good luck.
Maizy Posted August 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2008 I'll let you know how it all went when we return from the Baltic. The Celebrity air for our Baltic cruise, leaving Harwich on the 16th, looks like it will work well. We're booked on Virgin Atlantic, leaving Newark at 9:10 pm on the 15th, arriving in Heathrow the next morning to meet the shuttle. Have never taken cruise air before and was quite concerned about the flights. Our TA was overjoyed when she saw out schedule.
