Last Minute (45-60 Days) Deals????

Recommended Posts

OK, I'm not a last minute kinda gal, I'm a planner, not a doer, so this is new to me! I would like to get a really good deal out of Galveston for late Sept.-Nov. Not picky, taking 20 yr old daughter with me and it will be a trip just cause we can. I'll even take an inside cabin here! Where do I find such deals online or whever? Are there things to subscribe to?

Thanks!:D

There is a website that advertises on Cruise Critic frequently that lets you search for last minute bargains. Unfortunately I am not allowed to name it because of the rules on CC.

However, doing a search for cruises out of Galveston in that time period only leaves you with 4 or 5 day itineraries on Carnival Ecstasy or 7 days on Carnival Conquest. The 4-day goes to Cozumel and has 2 sea days, and the 5-day goes to Merida (Progreso) and Cozumel with 2 sea days. The 7-day goes to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and has 3 sea days.

For exact pricing, I'd suggest looking at the Carnival website or calling your TA. Then you could get a total price including taxes/fees/surcharges based on whichever category stateroom you pick and which date you sail. Also, you might be eligible for residency specials or past-cruiser deals.

thanks.....I went to one of them, maybe what you referred to, and ended up with the 5-day deal to Coz. and Progresso. The cabin itself was a REAL deal, now if you didn't have to hand over all their taxes and fuel charges.....oh well. Got a guarantee porthole with prob. 2 upgrades---also she was going to try to find out my repeat offender number cause I sailed with Carnival back in the '90's. :D

Hockeygal

I was going to tell you about the good deal on the 11/29 cruise on the Ecstasy but I see that is the one you signed up for.

You should join the roll call for that cruise
