Majesty 8983 or 8993? Help!

I am looking to book a cruise on the Majesty.

We enjoy the aft part of the ship and we are considering cabin 8983 or 8993.

Have you stayed in one of these cabins? It appears there's a staircase right outside the stateroom 8983. When I spoke to NCL I was told 8993 has a more obstructed view.

1 - Is this a really obstructed view - 8983?

2 - Is there room in the little "nook" area outside the to place a couple of chairs to enjoy morning coffee?

3 - Are there exit doors on both sides of the ship?

4 - Would you choose port and starboard on the Majesty to the Bahamas?

Thanks in advance!

I hope somebody responds, as I just booked 8983! I was going to book 962, but the NCL rep talked me out of it, since it's right next to kid's club. Probably would not have mattered, but I hope 8983 does have good access to that little "private" deck area!

I just did a search on the NCL boards for "majesty" and "8983" and found an interesting post from 2006. Looks like the beds cannot be pushed together? And something about employees smoking outside the window, as that is a private little deck area. So, I just called and switched my cabin to 962, as I've only read great things about that one!
