Rocky2006 Posted August 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2008 I know...I know...dumb questions sorry!! We are taking 2 cruises back to back...and we plan on using the same credit card for spending money on both...my question is...when we get off the first cruise...before we sail on the second cruise...while we are in Florida...can we use our Canadian bank cards to take out $$ from a bank machine and then give that $$ to the S&S card desk if we don't have any room left on the credit:confused: card...will they accept cash as a deposit? Hope this makes sense...if not please let me know and I can clarify... Thanks
big_duck Posted August 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Yes. You should be able to find ATMs at most Ports of Call that will work as well (for much lower fees).
Rocky2006 Posted August 14, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Thank you for the advice...my other question...what happens if our credit card is at the limit after the first cruise? or during the second one... I heard somewhere that if you don't have any "room" on your credit card...you cannot use your S&S card to rack up a bill... So if you give them let's say...$1000.00 to hold...you can rack up that amount on the S&S card? Sorry for this confusion... Thanks :o:o:o
big_duck Posted August 14, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Can you pay your CC off on-line? You could always log on the internet and pay some off. Sorry, I can't help more but I always start my cruise with an empty credit card.
Rocky2006 Posted August 14, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted August 14, 2008 I think I might be able to pay it off online maybe at the hotel or something...we have a one night stay in between the cruises in Fort Lauderdale... We plan to have an "empty" credit card...but having our wedding cruise one week and the honeymoon cruise the next week...I anticipate spending quite a bit!! :D:D Do you know if the S&S desk will take a cash deposit just in case it is full? Thanks so much for all of your help!!!! :o:o
mr. cruiser Posted August 14, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 14, 2008 You could check to see if the bank would raise your limit. I had my limit raised before my last cruise just to be on the safe side, because everyone holds money (hotels, Carnival) and that affects your limit and what is available to you. When you get off the cruise you can lower it again.

The will also let you pay down your bill at anytime, say with your Casino winnings. ;)
