kimmie32 Posted April 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2004 How quickly do we need to get our ice show tickets? When are they available? What nights are the shows - we are booked for late seating at dinner - when should we go to the show? Thanks
glgolfer Posted April 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Check the daily compass for info as to when to pick up the tickets and when the shows are. There will be 2 shows for each dinner seating. You'll pick up the tickets at the customer service desk. If you're in a grand suite or higher or diamond members, you can get tickets from the Concierge. jean-lynd Posted April 12, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2004 They usually have a time on the first sea day when there is a table set up in front of Studio B for ticket distribution. This time will be listed in the compas. We had trouble getting tickets when we wanted on our VOS cruise because there was a large group that took 400 tickets at once. We had to skip dinner in the dining room so that we could go to the 7:00 show. Not a big deal because the menu that night was not very exciting. We enjoyed the show and then grabbed pizza and sandwiches in the Cafe Promenade for dinner. I hope this helps! kimmie32 Posted April 12, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Thanks. From reading other posts, this seems to be THE show not to be missed. Are there other shows that were just as well missed?
superjerryw Posted April 12, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2004 It depends on your taste and possibly your age. The production shows tend to have a variety of music that anyone can associate with. When the show is a stand alone singer they tend to cater to an older crowd. I've been on cruises where the headline act was a group or a singer from the 50's or 60's that younger people never heard of. <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=03> <param name="day" value=19> <param name="hour" value=17> </applet> Donuts, is there anything they can't do.... F5Loar Posted April 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2004 One thing I found is if you want a particular night better get there earlier than the time posted in the Compass. Ours was at 4:30 and I got there at 4:25 and the line was way back and they had already given out the time I wanted. Be there at least 30 min. early. It only takes one person from your group or family to get them. FnyFACEnAL Posted April 12, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Does the purser have the ice tickets when we first board?? Thanks!
ernie16 Posted April 12, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 12, 2004 The compass will list when you can pick up the FREE tickets, ours was done right in front of the ice Rink entrance. At first the HUGE line will scare you only because people are in line before reps start ticket gi9ve outs. Once they start it moves very very quickly. What ever the wait it was worth it as the show e saw was absolutely fantastic.

Diane&4girls Posted April 18, 2004 #12 Share Posted April 18, 2004 You can go to as many shows as you please. In fact, tickets aren't required. I have yet to get a ticket to an ice show. It is recommended that each guest goes to one show since there are limited seating and others might want to see it too. It's great, but once is enough for us. 2VaCruzers Posted April 19, 2004 #15 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Was on NOS April 3rd and tickets were required to get inside for the ice show. DH got them the day before quite easily. The house was packed and the show was excellent. Candleonwater Posted April 19, 2004 #16 Share Posted April 19, 2004 We just got off the Mariner yesterday - saw two shows, and if my daughter had her way, we would have seen all 5 shows! As late as Friday afternoon (the day of the last shows)they were still announcing they tickets remaining for that nights two shows. It is a wonderful show.
