What to do in LA for two days???

Hi everyone,

I have two days in LA in December prior to flying to FL for our cruise. DH & eldest DD are heading to Disneyland:rolleyes: . I want to see the sights. Are there any tours that can be recommended for 1/2 day or any good tour operators that would drive us around and show us places of interest? I have only ever stopped in LA as a stopover.

Also are you going to be in LA during the week, or on the weekends?

As that makes some different sightseeing options.

 

And I saw your other thread, but haven't jumped in there yet...

Have you decided where you are staying yet?

Or narrowed down a few choices at least?

Hi CJW,

Thanks for that - I love walking tours. We will be in LA mid week. Still haven't deceided on where to stay. What are your thoughts on Casa Del Mar or the Peninsula? Are they close to the action or miles away from everything? I will skip hiring a car. I couldn't cope with having to drive on the opposite side of the road;) .

Hi Curt,

I just checked some of your previous listings and whilst you give Casa Del Mar the thumbs up, I don't think it is the sort of place my husband would like. I love beachy, relaxed places but he likes things a bit more upmarket.:D

My family LOVED our tour of Warner Brothers. But that's me, I love the celebrity thing. Many of the studios have tours and you might run in to some stars!
