Canadian Credit Card with Pin#

I just received a letter from my credit card company, CIBC Visa, that they are starting to phase in Pin #'s. These Pin #s are used by credit card companies all over Europe. They identify who you are.

 

I am really excited about this. Last year, on a number of occassions I had to show a copy of my passport. So, next year on my TA, I will be all set.

I also think this is long overdue good news. A couple of years ago my wife was refused use of her Visa in a store in the UK because she did not have a PIN.

Dont get to excited about the pin for your credit card, as you know in England it is used all the time now, but if we travel to Mallorca which we do a lot with my English credit card they need your passport, pin number and signature. We dont mind as its extra security. The only problem is sometimes you just cant remember your pin number.
