Onboard Entertainment

We were on b2b cruises on Journey in July, and thought the entertainment was quite good and varied, considering the size of the ship. There won't be any big and glitzy production shows, but there will be a high caliber of talent. Our shows, offered twice nightly at 8:00 and 10:00, ranged from a comedian, to a singer who had starred as Evita on London's West End, to a concert pianist, a fiddler/pianist and a virtuoso dulcimer player. All were excellent. On three nights during each of our 12 night cruises, Journey's own troupe of five talented young performers sang their hearts out. We especially like the tribute to Hollywood as we knew all the songs in the repertoire; the Twisted TV, while clever in its concept of spoofing tv shows, was not as well-received because it was harder to follow the lyrics of satirical songs we had never heard before. (Maybe that's just our "advanced" hearing situation:eek: ) At any rate, if you don't need all the bells and whistles, then you will be quite content and even sometimes impressed with what you will enjoy on Azamara.
