Balcony in the Baltic, late August, is it worth it?

Thanks for the info. We have been to Germany/Holland/Belgium in the spring but never later in the year so we wern't sure what to expect. I am a little early in asking the questions but though since I found this thread I should ask before we book the cabin rather than after.

We did a Baltic cruise on Jewel of the Seas in July 2005 and had an inside cabin. My in-laws went, too - and they had a balcony. They enjoyed their balcony, and we didn't mind not having one. I have been in balcony cabins on 2 cruises (and my 2 Alaska cruises were NOT the ones). One was a free upgrade, and I'll take that any day! The other one was a 4-day Bahamas cruise, and the balcony was a waste of my money.
