Smaller Cruise Ship

We're looking at taking the Carnival Miracle next year. Does it feel more crowded on a smaller ship like the Miracle? Our other choice is the Ruby Princess. The Miracle was built in 2004 and the Ruby will emerge in 2008. Which would you choose?

Is the Carnival Miracle a small ship? We are used to the Smaller Princess ships that hold about 700 passengers.

The Miracle is 88,500 tons, 2124 passenger capacity dbl occupancy, not small, but a lot smaller than the Ruby Princess.

I really liked the Miracle ... one of my best cruises. To me it felt like a smaller ship, but with a lot of ammenities. We had a nice cruise critic group, and we were always running into each other around the ship ... made it feel very cozy.
