Help! Need Recomendation For A Private Guide W/van

As far as Mayan Temples go, I do not believe that there are any on Grand Cayman Island...

But depending on what you want to see and do, Look at Native Way Tours...they offer a GREAT "Stingray City and Island Tour".

I am not sure if you could charter a fully private tour, but we went last year in a van that could easily hold 8, they drove us around the island to see Hell, the Turtle Farm, the Rumcake Factory, the governor's house, and Stingray City. Along the way he stopped and pointed out cultural places and things of importance and told us all about the history of the island. I can not remember his name, but he was great! Using them again this year for the same tour. That is the only company I have used...you might try just emailing the more popular companies recommended on these boards and ask if they will do a private island tour. It never hurts to ask!

Otherwise, you may be able to just pick up a tour guide in the port and negotiate a price.

About how long was that tour? Is it a set price or do you need to negotiate that?

We used Cayman in a Nutshell. It was a great tour. We did stingray city, snorkeling, the turtle farm, hell and had lunch at a restaurant on the beach. I highly recommend this tour. Our guide was Dennis and he was wonderful.

so glad to see Cayman in a nutshell mentioned. I just booked them for our November cruise- good to know that you had a great experience! :D
