AOS-Aruba Schedule Change

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on the November 30th, AOS and I noticed the Aruba time had changed from 8-8 to 8-6 (any of the Southern itinerary on AOS after October) I called RCCL to question the time change and I was told they wanted to depart from port earlier to save fuel by going slower to their next port. Well the next port is Curacao, which it the neighboring island. Has anyone heard any other reason why this change? Just inquiring, Aruba is my favorite stop.

I noticed it too. We are sailing October 5th on AOS. I always enjoyed spending the evening in Aruba, having supper or drinks and watching the sun set. I was already disappointed it was departing earlier at 8 p.m., but now 6? Their reason doesn't make a whole lot of sense -- how slow do they want to go???

We stayed until 1am, and that was nice! I did miss the sailaway, tho--asleep by the time the ship pulled out! (Man, that's one loooong day!) But, it did give us time to do the beach thing, shop a bit, change, go back to eat on the island, and wander for awhile! Nice day!

Sorry yours will be shorter!
