cb at sea Posted August 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2008 They have buses that run under $5 pp, (it may be less--I forget!) It's not expensive and all the public access points have facilities and food/drink/rentals. Buses will come back to get you! Lovely!
cruisingbooboo Posted August 26, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 26, 2008 I've gone twice, once in a cab, once in a bus, fairly close, reasonable priced...
mwne2nks Posted August 26, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2008 We found the city buses and it was $2.00 each. But realize its not direct and there will be locals and their baggage on board. Ours had a couple chickens on board. We ended up taking a cab back and it was $5 each. We loved the Caymans and will go back after this up coming cruise. Tagsalong Posted August 26, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 26, 2008 $4.00 US pp for a taxi to any stop along 7 mile beach. $1.50 US pp for the bus to any stop along 7 mile beach. Bus terminal is 2 blocks from the tender dock and buses will stop at any hotel you request. Directions to the bus terminal can be gotten from any of the retail stores or banks. Return by bus requires standing by road and waving when you see the bus coming towards you. No need to walk to specific bus stops. Note: buses are small vans and a bit tight when full.
