What's the difference in balconies?

I'll be booking my fist NCL cruise soon, and I'm wondering what the difference is between the different balcony cabins. The cruise I'm looking at (on Jewel) offers the following:

BD, BE - Deck 8 -- $1199

BB, BC - Deck 9 -- $1299

BA, BB - Deck 10 -- $1399

 

Is the price increase based solely on the fact that those cabins are on a higher deck, or is there a size difference between the different cabin categories?

It's all LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

 

Higher or lower decks, and whether you're midship, forward or aft.

In most cases the only difference is location. There are a couple of exceptions where you might find a BA aft as well as on the sides of the ship and some folks find them preferable.

Location's not that important to me (unless I could get an aft, but I'm betting they're all taken already), so I'll just go with the cheapest balcony cabin.
