Demonstration kitchen?

I see on the deck plans for Celebrity Summit that there is a "demonstration kitchen" near the Normandie Restaurant. Do they actually do cooking demo's during the cruise? One of my daughters would love that. Come to think of it, so would I!

I think they do the cooking demo's on Deck 4 Rendezvous Lounge

They do not do cooking demonstrations in the Normandie kitchen. You could dine in there one evening, and watch the chefs prepare meals, but it's in no way a demonstration kitchen.

 

Ocassionally, the chef will do a cooking demonstration in one of the lounges, but that doesn't happen on every cruise.

The term demonstration kitchen is used interchangeably with Exhibition Kitchen or Display Kitchen. Many restaurants have a working "line" that is exposed to the dining guests. This is what this refers to. If you are near this area, you will be able to watch the line cooks work.

Ahh, this makes sense now. Bummer, I thought there might be actual "cooking classes" like on TV.
