you can purchase bottles of spirits onboard to drink in your cabin. I think I've read this somewhere but search isn't working. If this is correct where do buy them from and does it work out cheaper than buying in the UK.

yes, you can get them from your room steward not on 2 niters tho, or you can buy ashore and bring on board ie gib etc

You can buy onboard from the time you meet your steward and prices are cheaper than buying in UK.

 

I had to laugh the other day, I was in the queue for the pursers desk and this woman came to speak to her husband about a good deal she had seen - the Bombay Sapphire was cheaper than at Morrisons - should she get one ootle or two?

 

Wonder if she thought prices weren't duty free or something.

A litre of Bells Whsiky was £12.75 last week from the 'Onbaord Shopping' via your cabin steward of the interactive TV service.

 

Cheapest place, other than Gibralter last week , were the 2 duty free shops at Palma and Barcelona by the Quay - Barcadi was 11 Euros for 1.1 litres and I think teh price on board was £11.

 

Loads of peopel brought and took on board with no problems at all.

Tom, me too but must admit I didn't look. The take home booze table was pretty basic. IIRC 3 types of gin and a few others. Saw Senior Service cigarettes in old fashioned flat pack; not seen those for years.

Whisky Teachers £9.50 a litre

Chivas Regal £17.75 a litre

Malt Glenfiddich £18.50 a litre

 

that was it for whisky- Baileys £10.50,
