Latitudes Discounts

Could someone tell me the discounts (if any) you could receive on your second cruise? Are the discounts only on selected sailings or available on all? And finally, if you book over the web would the discount come in the final costing or is it something that is applied seperately?

Generally, unless there is some sort of special promotion going on, you will receive a card in the mail entitling you to a free upgrade or two. It's almost always for within a category (no upgrades from inside to outside, or outside to balcony) so it's really not that big of a deal.

Better perks can be obtained by purchasing a future cruise reward certificate while on board and if you like to gamble, spending a lot of time in the casino using the players club. Then you can book your next cruise through Casino's At Sea and get a very nice discount. The NCL Mastercard is also a great way to earn $500 certificates towards a cruise. There's a sticky at the top that gives all the information about it.

I enjoy NCL a lot, but am sticking with them mostly due to the cruise reward certificates, the CAS discount, and the NCL Mastercard. Add all of these up and the discount can be huge.

if you have signed up for "my account" on NCL....and IF you have it set up to be linked to your latitude number...then when you sign in and try to book a cruise, you will notice a discount. not every time, every cruise..but usually a $50 discount.

just booking through the website, it doesn't give you a place for "past guest", but booking through "my account", they have that information.

when i check for a cruise, through "my account"..the discount shows up right way.

was a great prmo for Latitude members. You booked on the phone only since the web site state no available when you entered the code.

An email came out for 7/3/08, one day sale with the NCL sales staff. Caribbean, Canada & anoher that I forget where. We took Canada on 10/18 since there was an AF BALCONY available. We got $800 off the 2nd person booked, so I was $1600 & husband was $700. They knew I bought the $250 deposit so that was used instead of $800 for 10 nts. CL P O Box. They got that in 2 days & I get a email telling me I owned $1800 not $2300.

So great deal for Jewel for 10 nts in AFT balcony to other new ports. So as learned not to book too far in advance since after final pyment many folks drop out so you get the best for cheap.

It's usually 50 dollars a cabin, but if you do a last min deal sometimes on a sunday they have very good deals but you just have to catch it at the right time.

We got $100 for our second cruise and $100 when we booked our 2009 (3rd) cruise. No upgrades, both booked in a category AF cabin. I was under the impresssion this was not related to any "select cruise" and we booked directly with NCL.

We received an upgrade only on the 1st cruise, a BD to a BB cabin.

Make sure you watch for price-drops as you will probably get them as long as final payment has not been made.

Happy Cruising!
