luggage question, carry on question

Each person is allowed 2 checked bags, but what can we bring for carry on's? The carnival website misses the 3rd dimension, it says for checked bags, 16 x 24 x 30, for carry on it says 16 x 24 and no 3rd dimenson. What are the limits for carry ons per person & size. thx

It just has to be able to fit through the scanner...just like the scanners at the airport. They are not strict at all on the sizes unless its a cooler.

Third demension doesn't matter. The purpose of the first 2 is to make sure it fits through the XRay machine.

For carry=on the 16x24 measurement get's the luggage thru the scanner opening - they don't care about the length (but the airlines do!!!) ken

I do believe that the smallest rolling suitcase would be the largest size allowed. A large duffle bag would work too, but no hockey/military bag would be considered carry on...

Thank you for the clarification. I was stopped at the entrance to the terminal once, because my bag looked too big. A porter took it and it was in my room late that afternoon.
