Just back - Freedom of the Seas

Just back and will post a review in a few days.

 

In short, the ship is incredible and despite its size never felt crowded, service was very good, entertainment was very good, food was disappointing (with the exception of Portofino's which was exceptional) - dining room food rated somewhere between ok and hit or miss, food in Windjammer/Jade rated cafeteria/college dining hall in quality and presentation, Chops offered good beef but otherwise fell short of a good landside steakhouse.

 

Formal nights were Monday and Thursday. Can't remember which night was smart casual because practically speaking, there was absolutely no distinction between casual and smart casual. While there is a published dress code, most people paid little attention to it and dressed as they wished regardless.
