navybankerteacher Posted September 3, 2008 #26 Share Posted September 3, 2008 Do both of the main dining rooms have similar waiting times? Are guests allowed to put their names on both waiting lists? Do they give you a pager so you don't have to wait at the actual restaurant? I did not see any pagers in use. You can put your name on both waiting lists - but then you would have to have one person standing (sitting, if one of the very few seats were available near the Four Seasons) by each entrance - to be able to run to get the other when you name was called. Waits ran up to 45 minutes if you showed up between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. Freestyle would work better if there were enough seats to handle a larger number of people - it is a nuisance unless you like to eat before 6:00 or after 8:00 - or pay extra for the Bistro. NCL has successfully promoted the concept as a benefit to the passengers - it really is a benefit to the line - allowing them to have less space and fewer staff assigned to dining areas. lovn2liv Posted September 4, 2008 Author #27 Share Posted September 4, 2008 My sister was convinced that Terraces had a much less waiting time than the other dining rooms. And I have to say, it seemed that way. We ate usually before 6:00. The only time we ate after 6:00 was when our dinner lasted 3 hours.
paulaob Posted September 4, 2008 #28 Share Posted September 4, 2008 The wait was much shorter in Terraces. On formal night the would not allow shorts or baseball cap in the dining room.
