Hurricane Hannah hitting the Bahamas on it's way to Savannah. I live in Savannah and on Oct 4 will be driving to Jacksonville to board the Fascination for a cruise to the Bahamas. Is Hannah supposed to be an omen to me??? Will the Bahamas or Savannah still be here? Keep your fingers crossed.

We are sailing out of JAX on Oct 13 and spending a couple of "pre" nights in Savannah on the way down. I'll be watching this one also..............got my fingers cross too.

Hey, I was at Parris Island in 1959 when Hurricane Gracie tore up that whole area. It was a category 4 and came ashore at Beaufort, SC.

 

If we all survived Gracie, Hanna will be a nobrainer.

I understand your way of thinking....Hurricane Kyle and Hurricane Laura give me the same thought! My DH is Kyle and I'm Laura and we are cruising this October:eek: However, I know Hurricanes Kyle and Laura will be long gone by then...

True, but there are thousands more people living in the area now - Many are living in areas in which they shouldn't be - Therefore it will be a much bigger mess even with a little storm!
